Ride / Events

Hello everyone,

We are adjusting the Ride/Event calendar to accommodate another new event coming up in October, so we will be adjusting the dates of the Sequoia/Kings Canyon Run from October 21-23 to the following weekend, which will be October 28-30.

As you may know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our entire Chapter, led by the newly reformed Ladies of Harley, along with Palm Springs Harley-Davidson are hosting a Charity Carnival and Poker Run on October 22 with the Carnival at the dealership and the Poker Run throughout the Coachella Valley. The event profits will go to support the Suzanne Jackson Breast Cancer Fund, which is a local charity that is a part of the Desert Cancer Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting residents in the Coachella Valley and surrounding communities who need financial assistance in obtaining screening, diagnosis and treatment for cancer and allied diseases. This is a very good cause which is close to my heart as my mother had Breast Cancer, so hopefully we can count you to support this event.

We will need many volunteers to successfully pull this event off. Volunteers will be needed for the following areas:
• Man a Poker Run Stop
• BBQ/Food
• Man a Carnival Booth (there will be multiple booths)
• Man Sign-In/Registration table
• Man Parking Control
• Check results of Poker Run

Please reply to this email with any areas you would like to volunteer for.

If you either personally, work for someone who, runs a business or know someone that would like to be a sponsor of this event, please contact either Kim O’Grady or Scott Scholz at pshog0277@gmail.com

Thank you very much for helping our Chapter support a very worthy cause. We look forward to hearing from you with an area in which you would like to help out with.

Talk soon,

Scott Scholz
